Launch of a website for information on the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Torch Relay in Kanagawa Prefecture!

From July 1 (Mon.) to August 31 (Sat.), 2019, we accepted applications for participation in the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Torch Relay as runners. We are really thankful for the many applications that we received.
・If elected as a Torchbearer, the Prefectural Executive Committee will contact you as a bulletin from December 2019 (planned). After that, The Tokyo Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games will make an official notification.
・No notice will be given to those who are not selected.
・There will be no disclosure of any reasons for non-selection. We won't be able to answer to the inquiries about the reason.

Tokyo 2020 Olympic Torch Relay schedule in Kanagawa Prefecture
Monday, June 29 – Wednesday, July 1, 2020

The Tokyo 2020 Olympic Torch Relay in Kanagawa Prefecture will begin in Hakone Town, and celebrations will be held in Fujisawa City on Day 1, Sagamihara City on Day 2, and Yokohama City on Day 3. The highlights of the relay will be Mt. Oyama of Isehara City, which has been registered as a Japan Heritage Site and is also popular with hikers, Enoshima, which is the Host venue of sailing, and Tsurugaoka Hachimangu, a shrine located in the center of the ancient city of Kamakura, among others. In Yokohama City, torchbearers will run past International Stadium Yokohama and Yokohama Stadium, where the football, baseball and softball competition will be held, and they will run through other areas of town that symbolize Yokohama, a city that is celebrating its 160th anniversary since opening its port to foreign ships.
